Rock Band Classes
Performing Rock Band for Ages 8-18
A student can expect their musical skills to grow by leaps and bounds once they are placed in one of the schools 4 performing and recording rock band programs. Band placement is determined by a student’s performance on their quarterly musical skill assessment.
REHEARSAL TIME: Each band rehearses once a week for 1.5 hours as they prepare to record a CD and perform at the end-of-session concert.
The program for each upcoming concert is thematic in nature, often reflecting the music of a specific decade or artist. Concerts are held at local music venues or the Rock School Music Venue. Each band is led by one of the school’s highly skilled band directors. The band director not only serves as a musical leader but helps band members develop communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
